I have returned!
The last two months have been rather interesting. My sickness has taken a tumble and gotten even more erratic. Unfortunately as a major consequence of that my ability to work has been severely compromised. As of right now I'm looking for new possibilities for the future, including the possibly of going back to school. That's a long term goal however, as right now I need to focus on getting my life back on track.
Josh and I have been looking at grad schools for him for January. So far he's narrowed it down to a handful of schools across the country ranging from Vancouver to Montreal. Part of me doesn't want to leave Winnipeg, specifically the circle of people I've built here - but another large part of me is looking forward to the opportunity to travel to a new city and build a new life with Joshua.
Also during the last two months I have had a minor addiction to WoW...as was mentioned in a previous post. During the two months of playing I got two characters to Level 80 and started gearing up in raids. As you might be able to guess, my time on WoW has run out...hence why the return to writing - as it should be. I've also been trying to work on my second novel - however being ill has made that rather difficult. *Sigh*
Tonight I have just spent looking at schools and listening to music. It's been nice. Refreshing. Pretty much exactly what I've needed.
I had a great weekend with friends and today I just spent relaxing with Joshie. Unfortunately my stomach reared it's ugly and rather violent head and decided that I wasn't allowed to have a wonderful weekend and it took its toll on me tonight. The music, however, I have found, is helping to calm me.
How dance music is calming, I'm not particularly sure - but it works.
Speaking of things that have calming effects, due to Joshie's influence I've been reading a fair amount more lately. I recently finished a novel that he lent me entitled Outrageous Fortune which I greatly enjoyed due to a lot of the subtle references to pop culture, religion and classics...but also just the completely absurd nature of the novel. I'm now onto reading A Lion Among Men which is the third installment of the Wicked series. :D
I end this entry jamming out to ABBA music - possibly some of the best music ever. I dare you not to get caught up in a good ABBA song, or while watching Mamma Mia! On that note Rainbow Stage is doing a production of Beauty & The Beast this summer.
...and on that slightly gay note, good night. :-)
