Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire: I can't say that I've read any of the Harry Potter novels so far, however I must admit I was quite impressed with the 3rd installment of this series. The previews look quite outstanding, and I'm quite looking forward to seeing this movie. Damn, if only I could cast spells. Liam, next year we'll dress you up and give you a wand for Hallowe'en. :-) (November 18th)
Rent: Yay! I loved seeing Rent on stage last year and I love the music for this so much. Plus, I'm a Rosario Dawson fan. I hope the movie remains true to the musical, because if not I'll be rather disappointed. The teaser trailor that has been released looks rather impressive and I'm quite excited. Man I'm going to spend too much money on movies this month. (November 23rd)
Aeon Flux: Mostly special effects and pointless fluff, but could be a fun movie to see, if I have time. (December 2nd)
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe: EXCITED!!! Ahem. Anyone who doesn't know, I'm a huge fan of the Chronicles books and I'm quite excited to see this movie when it comes out. I saw the previews months ago and immediately fell in love with it all. Yay, Tilda Swinton will make an amazing Queen Jadis. Woot! *Does a little dance* Everyone is required to come see this movie with me, or they shall face my wrath. :-D (December 9th)
Brokeback Mountain: Jake Gyllenhaal is cute, need I say more? This looks mostly like a feel good movie, and I hope I have a chance to see it. It comes out the same week as Chronicles so it's definitely going to have to wait. Oh well. Yay Chronicles! (December 9th)

So yeah, those are the three main movies that I must and the two movies I might try to catch in the next little while. Yay for Chronicles - I've already booked the time off work. Yes, we all know I'm sad. However it should be noted that those books have been a big inspiration to me, and have helped shape a lot of my ideas of Aeternus. Speaking of which, I've named one of the heroines in my new novel...Aeris Raine. Thoughts?
Halloween is tomorrow which I'm quite excited for. My costume has worked out quite well so far (despite a small setback with a henna tattoo). I don't know exactly what I'm doing tomorrow, might hand out candy to kids, or go to a party, or who knows. Either way I hope it'll be fun. Yay! Happy Hallowe'en Everyone!
Now, off to bed with me. I have lots of cleaning to do tomorrow, and hopefully if I get a chance I might work on a chapter of my novel with Laura. Yay!

Only five more days until Hallowe'en. Yay!
Josh and I saw Serenity recently - I loved it. *Drools* I never really had a chance to get into Firefly, but I quite enjoyed Serenity, it was great. I've always secretly been a fan of Jewel Staite, I was a big fan of Space Cases when I was younger (yes, we all know I shall always be a geek). It was a lame show, but cute. Getting back on track, Serenity - yes that movie was great. I quite enjoyed the storyline with the Reavers...
...which brings me to the title of my post. Recently while surfing through VG Cats I came across a comic concerning WoW, and Soul Reavers. I've added an avatar from the strip to this post because I find it humorous, and it seems to fit with the Halloween spirit. :-) Getting back to the Reavers topic, the movie gave me a few ideas that I really like and I've been slowly using them to evolve my concept ideas for Novel #2. Novel #1 needs a lot of work still, but who can blame me for being eager to get to work on a second novel?
Side Note: Last week in Riddell I overheard two students talking and one of them was bitching about how he had to write 3,000 words in an English Essay by this week. I said something along the lines of "I wrote 25,000 words last week, stop complaining." Of course it was more to myself and they didn't really hear it, but I was so tempted to bring it to his attention. Sure my novel isn't Oprah Book Club quality just yet, but 50,000 words is an impressive feat, one I'm proud of. :-) Go me!
I work at a different store tomorrow, that should be interesting.
Before I head to bed I thought I would share a nice quote I found tonight...seems to relate with my apparently obsession with photographs. "A room hung with pictures is a room hung with thoughts." - Sir Joshua Reynolds

Is it sad that I was excited to hear that it's going to get up to 13 degrees today? Yes.
Am I ready for Halloween yet? Almost!
Do I have an unusual obsession with pictures? You bet.
As you may have noticed, I've done a lot of updating to my MSN Space recently. I've been adding a lot of pictures lately. My space currently boasts 462 photos in 11 albums. I'm currently trying not to freak out about the odd numbers; trying quite hard. For those of you confused as to what I'm talking about, look at this list. I added a bunch of baby pictures today, along with adding to a new album entitled "My Family."
Joshua and I have been running this past week - man am I out of shape. We've only gone twice so far, but I hope that we can start to do it on a semi-regular basis so that I can get my stamina up. I didn't realize how out of shape I am. Not good. :-( As an added benefit to running in the Duckworth Centre, we've had a chance to watch the Wesmen Men's Volleyball team run a practice. Mmmm.
I've been in a really good, hyper mood today - minus work calling me a million of course. I've been dancing around a lot - I'm quite looking forward to going dancing on Saturday. Last year I wasn't really in the Halloween spirit, but this year I'm all excited about it. Friends have a wonderful way of hyping you up for something. :-)
On that note, I shall head off and leave you with this devilish pumpkin carving...
Happy Hallowe'en!

First off let me begin by wishing everyone a Happy Chulalongkorn Day. If you don't understand, it's best not to ask.
I've decided to change the format of my MSN Space for a little while, in the mood for a bit of a change. I've been working on updating my photo albums and I've added some albums with pumpkins we've carved recently, pictures from Dracula and some of my family. The family album needs a lot of work, but I'll get to that soon. I've also been working on cleaning up my music lists, but those are low on the list of priorities just yet.
First one to figure out what "לוהט, בוער" means gets a prize. What the prize is, I don't know, but it'll be damned cool. Maybe a signed edition of my novel. Speaking of noveling, Laura and I have slowly been working out way back into our writing task, and I am currently preparing characters for a new novel (which takes place in the same world/time as my recent novel). I'm really in a creative swing right now, yay for completing a novel. I should have a few more hard copies printed out soon so that I can get people to read/critique/tell me how crappy it is.
Dracula was great. Yay. We went to the show in a limosine, went to Moxie's after. All in all it was a nice night. Tonight I went to Moxie's again with some people from work, and Christina bought me dinner (since I completed the novel). This week will be primarily spent catching up on some school work, cleaning the house, and getting ready for halloween. Tomorrow I hope to do some shopping and such. Yay. :-)
My room desperately needs to be cleaned.
If people hadn't considered The Sun a media tabloid the execs at the Winnipeg Sun killed any doubt today. Today's front page spread displayed the dead body of a mallard that had been speared in the head. On the front page was the duck's owner, crying. Now not only is the duck's death senseless, but the heartless fixation with showing what is graphic and cruel on the front page is far beyond me. Why? The man has suffered enough, and people are not going to benefit from seeing that. Plus, it's just adding fuel to the fire for groups who speak out against public displays of violence. Focus on politics, or news on relief efforts in China...or god forbid, the Ballet.
That was my rant for the night. It is now past 2:00AM and time for bed for me. Hopefully tomorrow will prove a productive day. Yay! :-) G'night world!

- Theme Song: "Listen To Your Heart" - DHT
I know there's something in the wake of your smile,
I get a notion from the look in your eyes, yeah,
You've built a love, but that love falls apart,
Your little piece of heaven turns to dark,
Listen to your heart, when he's calling for you,
Listen to your heart, there's nothing else you can do,
I don't know where you're going, and I don't know why but,
Listen to your heart, before you tell him goodbye...
I feel as though life is back on track once more. I'm still sort of running off the high from completing my novel, but things seem to be in a really good place right now. I'm happy in school and with work. Tonight Joshua, Jessica, Laura and myself are all going to see Dracula being done by the RWB. We're going to be all dressed up and we're taking a limosine. It should be a blast. :-D I'll be sure to take a lot of pictures!
My birthday was last weekend, and I had a nice time. My mother was in Nevada for a trip, my sister was at camp and my father was on the road - so I had the house to myself. :-) Christina and I are talking about going out for dinner on Sunday after work to celebrate the completion of my novel and for my b-day. Woot!
Halloween is only ten days away, which means I need to get my butt in gear and finish my costume. I got a big portion of it last night, and I even found a perfect (amazing) looking mask. I won't mention what I'm going to dress up as, but all I can say is that those in EC shall be proud, and that Jessica won't be able to veto it because I'm not going to be an angel "like all the other gay bois." :-P
Now that exams and this novel is done, I should have a lot more free time, I hope. I'm looking at picking up a second job. I'll be quite excited if I get the job I interviewed for recently; while I've heard the horror stories, it doesn't sound like a bad job at all. I want to get experience in various fields, and that won't be retail work, so it's a plus. Mid-terms went not too bad, As and Bs. Not bad for focusing more on my novel then on my readings. Next big projects on the horizon are my novel with Laura (yay!), and the dreaded Christmas season. Joy of joys.
Well I'm going to head off here now. I've rambled on for long enough and I need to get ready for the ballet. :-) Yay!!!
50,000 Words
31 Days
I am victorious! Yay!
Two hours before the deadline I have completed my goal of 50,000 words. My novel is complete, well, sort of. There are a great number of plot holes and additional character development scenes to be written. Still - I'M DONE! *Dances around* Time to collect on my bets, suckers! I can now call myself a truly epic novelist. :-) YAY!!!
Thank you to everyone who inspired me and supported me during this journey. I'm finally done, and when all is edited and done many of you will have the joy (or horror) of reading my finished product.
With one novel done and under my belt I feel like there's nothing I can't accomplish now. :-)
Mind...mush...
5,000 words remain...
Must...finish...novel...
Zzzzzz...
This evening, I broke 40,000 words. Two days remain. Can I finish in time?
I know, I know - long time no update. Simply put I fell behind in my writing (over 10,000 words behind)...
Shocking, I know. Well now I'm back on track, with nine days left. My setting has been established and I'm well on my way to having a novel, elbiet a short novel, but a novel none the less. With any luck I'll be able to complete my goal and get done by the 13th. Woot!
Back to writing I go!
